"I had done years of therapy. I thought I understood my patterns. Two days in, I discovered things about myself I had never had the space to reach."A Client Who Did the Deep Work
A Deep Dive Immersion is a 2 or 3-day clinical experience built around the Illuminate Blueprint: a multi-modal framework that weaves EMDR reprocessing with somatic practice, EFT, IFS parts work, therapeutic journaling, yoga, meditation, and nature-informed therapy.
The sustained container changes what is possible. Your nervous system does not have to brace for re-entry into daily life six days later. You get to stay with the work until it moves all the way through.
Every immersion day follows a clinical rhythm: deep processing in the morning, somatic integration through the middle hours, and restoration to close. No session is pushed past its natural edge.
Bilateral stimulation, primary trauma processing. This is where the heaviest work happens, when your system has the most capacity to move through and integrate what has been held.
2 to 2.5 hoursA genuine pause. Snack, gentle movement, grounding practices. Your brain needs space to integrate before the next phase begins. This break is not optional. It is clinical.
30 minutesBody-based integration of what was processed. EFT tapping, somatic experiencing, and Trauma Tapping Techniques (TTT) to anchor the shifts that happened in the bilateral work.
1 to 1.5 hoursNot billed. Not therapeutic. A real pause for your body and mind before the afternoon work begins. Rest is part of the container.
60 minutesInternal Family Systems work to meet the parts of you that have been managing the pain, alongside therapeutic writing to give language to what the morning revealed.
1 hourFor in-person clients in Madison: hiking, kayaking, or mindful walking as a therapeutic modality. Movement and nature as medicine. Virtual clients receive structured outdoor practices for their own location.
1 to 1.5 hoursA structured close: gentle yoga, guided meditation, session debrief, and anchoring practices to carry you through the night between immersion days.
45 to 60 minutesBoth immersions follow the Illuminate Blueprint. The format you choose depends on the complexity of your material, your schedule, and where you are in your healing arc.
Two full days of sustained, multi-modal intensive work. Ideal for clients who have completed a Somatic EMDR Intensive and are ready to go meaningfully deeper with defined trauma material.

Every immersion is designed and delivered through the Illuminate Blueprint: a proprietary clinical framework developed over 20 years of practice that integrates the most effective trauma modalities into a single, coherent arc.
This is not a menu of services stacked together. It is a carefully sequenced approach where each modality serves the next, and the container holds all of it from the first session to the last debrief.
Bilateral stimulation for deep trauma processing. The clinical core of every immersion, delivered in focused morning blocks when the nervous system has the most capacity.
Body-based integration and Emotional Freedom Techniques to anchor what EMDR opens. Trauma lives in the body first. Integration has to follow it there.
Internal Family Systems parts work and therapeutic writing to give language and meaning to what the processing reveals. This is where insight becomes livable.
As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), Cassandra weaves yoga and meditation as therapeutic modalities throughout the immersion day, not as add-ons.
Hiking, kayaking, and mindful movement in nature as therapeutic practice. For in-person clients in Madison, WI and Puerto Rico destination immersions.
Immersions are not for everyone. They require readiness, stability, and genuine commitment to the process. Here is what that looks like in practice.
You are currently experiencing suicidal ideation, active self-harm, psychotic symptoms, or unmanaged substance use. Immersions require a stable foundation. If you are not there yet, a Somatic EMDR Intensive may be the right first step.
All immersion clients must have worked with Cassandra in a Somatic EMDR Intensive first. This is a clinical requirement, not an administrative one.
You are not in acute crisis. You have coping skills in place and can hold yourself between immersion days and afterward.
Life looks fine from the outside. You know something is still holding you back. You are ready for work that goes somewhere new.
Financially, logistically, and emotionally. You can clear your schedule, show up, and be present for what the container asks of you.
"I came in carrying something I had been managing for fifteen years. Three days later, I understood it differently. Not just intellectually. In my body. I left knowing what I had never been able to name before."A Client Who Did the Deep Work
I have been doing this work for over 20 years. Not as a career pivot. Not as a side offering. Trauma therapy has been my singular focus, and EMDR intensives have been my specialty for years.
I built Illuminate Counseling as a private-pay practice by design. No insurance. No session caps. No gatekeeping your healing. Just space for the real work, held by a clinician who has given her career to understanding how healing actually happens.
The Illuminate Blueprint is not a course I took. It is what I developed across thousands of clinical hours, watching what works when the container is deep enough, and what does not when it is not.
Every immersion begins with an application. This protects the clinical integrity of the work and ensures every client who arrives is genuinely ready for it.
Complete the application and tell Cassandra where you are in your healing and what you are ready for.
A 30-minute clinical conversation to assess fit, readiness, and the right immersion format for you.
A 50% deposit holds your immersion dates. The balance is due 14 days prior to your start date.
A clinical intake and treatment planning session the week before your immersion begins.

608-844-8492Yes. All Deep Dive Immersion clients must first complete a Somatic EMDR Intensive with Cassandra. This is a clinical requirement, not an administrative one. The immersion builds on the foundation and therapeutic relationship established in that session. The depth of what becomes possible over two or three days depends on having that groundwork in place.
Each immersion day includes 2 to 2.5 hours of active EMDR reprocessing. This is intentional. The nervous system has a processing ceiling, and quality of integration matters far more than volume. The remaining hours are somatic work, IFS, therapeutic journaling, yoga, nature therapy, and grounding: all of which deepen the EMDR processing rather than add to its load.
