The Difference

This is not a longer session. It is a different kind of healing.

A Deep Dive Immersion is a 2 or 3-day clinical experience built around the Illuminate Blueprint: a multi-modal framework that weaves EMDR reprocessing with somatic practice, EFT, IFS parts work, therapeutic journaling, yoga, meditation, and nature-informed therapy.

The sustained container changes what is possible. Your nervous system does not have to brace for re-entry into daily life six days later. You get to stay with the work until it moves all the way through.

  • Multiple EMDR processing sessions across consecutive days, allowing deeper work without nervous system fatigue
  • Body-based integration built into every day, not added as an afterthought
  • Nature-informed therapy including hiking and kayaking for in-person clients in Madison, WI
  • A personalized post-immersion email with observations, next steps, and a clear integration path
What Each Day Holds

A day designed for your nervous system, not a clock.

Every immersion day follows a clinical rhythm: deep processing in the morning, somatic integration through the middle hours, and restoration to close. No session is pushed past its natural edge.

01
Morning

EMDR Reprocessing

Bilateral stimulation, primary trauma processing. This is where the heaviest work happens, when your system has the most capacity to move through and integrate what has been held.

2 to 2.5 hours
02
Mid-Morning

Grounding and Nervous System Reset

A genuine pause. Snack, gentle movement, grounding practices. Your brain needs space to integrate before the next phase begins. This break is not optional. It is clinical.

30 minutes
03
Late Morning

Somatic Work, EFT, and Trauma Tapping

Body-based integration of what was processed. EFT tapping, somatic experiencing, and Trauma Tapping Techniques (TTT) to anchor the shifts that happened in the bilateral work.

1 to 1.5 hours
04
Midday

Full Break

Not billed. Not therapeutic. A real pause for your body and mind before the afternoon work begins. Rest is part of the container.

60 minutes
05
Early Afternoon

IFS Parts Work and Therapeutic Journaling

Internal Family Systems work to meet the parts of you that have been managing the pain, alongside therapeutic writing to give language to what the morning revealed.

1 hour
06
Mid-Afternoon

Nature-Informed Therapy

For in-person clients in Madison: hiking, kayaking, or mindful walking as a therapeutic modality. Movement and nature as medicine. Virtual clients receive structured outdoor practices for their own location.

1 to 1.5 hours
07
Close of Day

Yoga, Meditation, and Day Debrief

A structured close: gentle yoga, guided meditation, session debrief, and anchoring practices to carry you through the night between immersion days.

45 to 60 minutes
Choose Your Container

Two formats. One framework. Yours by application.

Both immersions follow the Illuminate Blueprint. The format you choose depends on the complexity of your material, your schedule, and where you are in your healing arc.

The Framework

The Illuminate Blueprint

Every immersion is designed and delivered through the Illuminate Blueprint: a proprietary clinical framework developed over 20 years of practice that integrates the most effective trauma modalities into a single, coherent arc.

This is not a menu of services stacked together. It is a carefully sequenced approach where each modality serves the next, and the container holds all of it from the first session to the last debrief.

EMDR Reprocessing

Bilateral stimulation for deep trauma processing. The clinical core of every immersion, delivered in focused morning blocks when the nervous system has the most capacity.

Somatic Therapy and EFT

Body-based integration and Emotional Freedom Techniques to anchor what EMDR opens. Trauma lives in the body first. Integration has to follow it there.

IFS and Therapeutic Journaling

Internal Family Systems parts work and therapeutic writing to give language and meaning to what the processing reveals. This is where insight becomes livable.

Yoga and Meditation

As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), Cassandra weaves yoga and meditation as therapeutic modalities throughout the immersion day, not as add-ons.

Nature-Informed Therapy

Hiking, kayaking, and mindful movement in nature as therapeutic practice. For in-person clients in Madison, WI and Puerto Rico destination immersions.

Right Fit

This work is for the woman who is done waiting for a different kind of progress.

Immersions are not for everyone. They require readiness, stability, and genuine commitment to the process. Here is what that looks like in practice.

This is not the right fit if

You are currently experiencing suicidal ideation, active self-harm, psychotic symptoms, or unmanaged substance use. Immersions require a stable foundation. If you are not there yet, a Somatic EMDR Intensive may be the right first step.

  • 1

You have completed a Somatic EMDR Intensive

All immersion clients must have worked with Cassandra in a Somatic EMDR Intensive first. This is a clinical requirement, not an administrative one.

  • 2

You are emotionally stable and resourced

You are not in acute crisis. You have coping skills in place and can hold yourself between immersion days and afterward.

  • 3

You are a high-functioning woman ready for this level of work

Life looks fine from the outside. You know something is still holding you back. You are ready for work that goes somewhere new.

  • 4

You are ready to invest fully in the work

Financially, logistically, and emotionally. You can clear your schedule, show up, and be present for what the container asks of you.

Cassandra Quick

I have been doing this work for over 20 years. Not as a career pivot. Not as a side offering. Trauma therapy has been my singular focus, and EMDR intensives have been my specialty for years.

I built Illuminate Counseling as a private-pay practice by design. No insurance. No session caps. No gatekeeping your healing. Just space for the real work, held by a clinician who has given her career to understanding how healing actually happens.

The Illuminate Blueprint is not a course I took. It is what I developed across thousands of clinical hours, watching what works when the container is deep enough, and what does not when it is not.

Yes. All Deep Dive Immersion clients must first complete a Somatic EMDR Intensive with Cassandra. This is a clinical requirement, not an administrative one. The immersion builds on the foundation and therapeutic relationship established in that session. The depth of what becomes possible over two or three days depends on having that groundwork in place.

Each immersion day includes 2 to 2.5 hours of active EMDR reprocessing. This is intentional. The nervous system has a processing ceiling, and quality of integration matters far more than volume. The remaining hours are somatic work, IFS, therapeutic journaling, yoga, nature therapy, and grounding: all of which deepen the EMDR processing rather than add to its load.

Yes. Puerto Rico destination immersions are available and Cassandra is actively in the process of obtaining her Puerto Rico license. Dates will be released to the interest list first. If you are a client in Wisconsin, Ohio, or Connecticut and want to do your immersion in Puerto Rico, submit your application and indicate your interest. You will be among the first notified when dates are confirmed. All Puerto Rico immersions are coordinated in partnership with Bohemian Oasis Healing Center Puerto Rico.

Yes. Virtual Deep Dive Immersions are available to clients in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Connecticut via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. As a Board Certified TeleMental Health clinician (BC-TMH), virtual care is a core part of this practice. Nature-informed sessions are adapted for virtual clients with structured outdoor practices for their own location.

In-person immersions take place in Madison, Wisconsin, with sessions held at Bohemian Oasis Spa and nature-informed work in the surrounding area. Lodging is the client's responsibility. Treating your immersion as a dedicated personal retreat rather than fitting it around other obligations tends to deepen the experience significantly. Lodging recommendations in Madison are available upon request.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your immersion dates. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to your start date. Cancellations within 14 days of the immersion are responsible for the full fee. Immersion dates may be rescheduled one time with at least 21 days notice, subject to availability.

No. Illuminate Counseling is a private-pay practice. Insurance is not billed directly or indirectly. A superbill can be provided upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement, though coverage for extended intensive formats varies by plan. HSA and FSA cards are generally accepted.
