Virtual or In-Person

Same depth, two settings.

The intensive format is identical everywhere: a 60-minute intake and preparation hour, then three hours of Somatic EMDR reprocessing woven with somatic practices, EFT, and trauma-conscious yoga — one uninterrupted container, followed by a personalized integration email.

What changes is the room.

  • Virtual works statewide in all three states. Many clients process more easily from their own space, with no commute on either end. Bilateral stimulation, somatic attunement, and focused processing all translate effectively to telehealth.
  • In-person happens in Madison, Wisconsin, at Bohemian Oasis Spa. Clients traveling from Connecticut or Ohio arrange their own travel, and the intensive is scheduled around the trip — some pair it with a few days of rest.
The Format

What every intensive includes.

  • Hour 1 — Intake & Preparation. A full 60-minute session to get clear on fit, goals, and what your nervous system needs before any processing begins.
  • Hours 2–4 — The Intensive. Three hours of Somatic EMDR, uninterrupted, with somatic practices woven throughout.
  • Integration. A personalized integration email follows your intensive, and 55-minute follow-up sessions ($200) are available whenever you want them.
  • $888 total, private pay. Superbills may be available for eligible therapy sessions.

Cassandra is licensed in Wisconsin (LPC), Connecticut (LPC), and Ohio (LPCC). Because licensure is state-specific, she can work with clients who are physically located in one of those three states at the time of each session — including telehealth sessions.
Yes. Virtual Somatic EMDR Intensives have strong research support, and as a Board Certified TeleMental Health clinician (BC-TMH), virtual care is a core part of this practice. Many clients find it easier to go deep from their own space, with no commute on either end.
Yes. In-person intensives are held at Bohemian Oasis Spa in Madison, Wisconsin. Clients traveling from other states make their own travel arrangements, and the intensive is scheduled around the trip. Some clients pair it with a few days of rest before heading home.
Illuminate Counseling is based in Madison, Wisconsin, where in-person intensives take place at Bohemian Oasis Spa. Everything else — intake, follow-ups, and intensives for Connecticut and Ohio clients — happens over secure telehealth.
Illuminate Counseling is a private-pay practice. Payment is due at the time of service. Superbills may be available for eligible therapy sessions for possible out-of-network reimbursement; reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your plan.
